Poured from tap at Marin Brew Breast Fest a clear blond with a thin white head and lacking carbonation. This beer had very little aroma with maybe a hint of grassy hay and something like canned beans. The flavor is dull with some cloying sweetness, lots of malt, and a very minor light wheat tang. I’m not a fan of this one. Misses much of what I like in a weizen or strong ale. Would skip next time.

Bottle; color was amber with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of fruit, bread, spice, earth and musty wheat. Alot of fruit esters in the flavor. Slightly sweet; bready, spicy and earthy in the finish. A solid, but unremarkable brew.

Pours cloudy orange with a small but lasting head. Aroma is of tangerines. I pick up a certain sour vinegar note everyone once in a while. Not overwhelming but not pleasant. Flavor is very mild, slight caramel flavor but really not much of anything. Light sweetness. Body is medium and creamy. Surprisingly light and drinkable for a 7.5% brew.

Bottle from Ledgers in Berkeley, CA. Poured a murky yellow and had a sweet spicy smell to it. Citrus taste that almost tasted sour. Just a little bit odd so I had to knock it down a little. Average brew.

Bottle from Ledgers in Berkeley, CA. This beer had an identity crisis in my mouth. I’ve had a Hefe, and I’ve had a Dopple. This one was a straight mixture of both, and that’s about it. And, they didn’t mix very well. Still, I have to give it style points. Nice try.
