steview (783), Oceanside, California, USA Feb 18, 2008 hazy gold-straw body with little white head; token sweetness like banana; not much else, it’s drinkable, though... rayOfBeer (265), El Cerrito, California, USA Jan 21, 2008 Poured from tap at MBC a hazy darker blond with a slight white head that fades immediately. Very little aroma, hints at banana and maybe peach. The flavor is syrupy sweet with a fruit banana and some wheat, but lacks any spiceiness. The sweetness down plays most of the other flavors and there is a lack of carbonation that leaves this beer a bit flat. This beer is ok with a spicey bowl of chili, but hard to drink on its own. can8ianben (641), Pasadena, California, USA Dec 6, 2007 I typically like more sweet banana like flavour from a wheat ale. It does have a smooth body and a nice brownish yellow colour, but this one seems more about the malt than about the yeast. the_swede (2), USA does not count Nov 18, 2007 Coaxed out a reasonably lofty head from the first pour but the second glass was listless. Cloudy appearance as expected though some large chunky floaters were discouraging. Smelled fruity, wheaty, and faintly of yeast. Light, dry, with little aftertaste. Could drink a lot of it without much trouble, but also not very memorable. hotstuff (3045), Indiana, USA Oct 16, 2007 Draft at MBC. Small white head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, cloudy, no visible carbonation, and a straw yellow hue. Nose was wheat, citrus, spicy, and a hint of banana. Flavor was spicy, citrus, wheat and a dry finish. Smooth, dry mouthfeel and light body. Decent tasting for the style.
