nimbleprop (819), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA Aug 16, 2009 Sampled at the brewpub. Translucent, hazy straw yellow with a fizzy white head. Spicy aroma, oranges, clove. Flavor is the same, heavy on the yeast and spice. Dry, chalky finish. nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Jun 30, 2009 Draft at Marin Brewing Co. I love the part of the description that reads, "the yeast is rich in vitamin B." Gotta love a beer that’s good for you. This one though...eh...not so much. Very light wheat aroma. Flavor of wheat and pale malt, a little citrus. Light on the palate. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA May 2, 2009 bottle, perfect cloudy golden yellow with huge foam, aroma is light floral and citric, flavor really pronounced sour lemon, honey and peach syrup, great carbonation and finish alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Jan 7, 2009 Bottle courtesy of a sibling for Christmas. Color of dark, dull gold with a big white head. Aroma of musty wheat, apple and vanilla. Flavor was ok, but a bit strange and lacking enough sweetness or banana. Seems to be overcarbonated. Very malty and a weird tingliness in the finish. steview (901), Los Angeles, California, USA Feb 18, 2008 hazy gold-straw body with little white head; token sweetness like banana; not much else, it’s drinkable, though... rayOfBeer (316), El Cerrito, California, USA Jan 21, 2008 Poured from tap at MBC a hazy darker blond with a slight white head that fades immediately. Very little aroma, hints at banana and maybe peach. The flavor is syrupy sweet with a fruit banana and some wheat, but lacks any spiceiness. The sweetness down plays most of the other flavors and there is a lack of carbonation that leaves this beer a bit flat. This beer is ok with a spicey bowl of chili, but hard to drink on its own. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Dec 6, 2007 I typically like more sweet banana like flavour from a wheat ale. It does have a smooth body and a nice brownish yellow colour, but this one seems more about the malt than about the yeast. theswede1961 (2), USA does not count Nov 18, 2007 Coaxed out a reasonably lofty head from the first pour but the second glass was listless. Cloudy appearance as expected though some large chunky floaters were discouraging. Smelled fruity, wheaty, and faintly of yeast. Light, dry, with little aftertaste. Could drink a lot of it without much trouble, but also not very memorable.
