Aroma is caramel malt and floral/piney hops, like a hopped-up version of their Mt. Tam Pale Ale. Flavor is more of the same with fresh-tasting C-hops and sweet malt. Nice palate with hops lingering. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2009 The pour was hazy golden in color with a nice white head and good sticky lacing. The aroma was dominated by spicy hops and caramel. Not much going on in terms of citrus. The flavor is sweet caramel malts that get run over by peppery spice and pine hops. Decent mouthfeel, clean finish. Well made, just a tad unbalanced for my tastes. cbkschubert (2007), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Nice lacing. Aroma is floral and pine resin. Flavor is full of hops and esters with a touch of lightly sweetened toasted malt. Finish is soft with a touch of bitterness, but it’s not astringent. A nice, easy drinking IPA. marcus (1893), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 18, 2009 This orange amber ale poured with a modest off-white head and a citrus aroma. The flavor is floral pine and slightly bready. There is a good blend of caramel malt and hops, resulting in a pleasant balanced taste. cmonster (112), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 19, 2009 Bomber served in a snifter. Hazy orange color with a 3-finger off-white head. Sweet, softly aromatic citrus, some bread, and a little doughy presence on the nose. Medium body. Some creaminess, but a little thin. Good lacing. Flavor has a nice balance of hops and malt. Bitter finish. Not spectacular, but a solid IPA nonetheless. blutt59 (2147), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Bomber thanks to doubleo. Pours a lively burnt orange color, highly carbonated with a big old fluffy white head with nice lacing. Aroma is fresh lemon and peaches, nice and citrusy. Grapefruit rind and ripe orange is also noted. A nice fresh aroma. Flavor shows a nice malty background with a chemically, aerosol taste that was not present in the aroma. A lot of orange and peach flavor in the finish. The aerosol is a turn off but this one looks and smells great. If not for the chemical flavor this would be top notch.
