"the beer tasting institute gave this a 99/100, and i can see why. it has everything a west coast ipa should have and nothing it shouldn’t. great beer all around...highly drinkable except that it only comes in 22s. just as good in the bottle as it is from the tap."

Draught at the brewpub Amber with a small, tan head. Loads of grassy, resiny hoppiness; Cascade. Very flowery in the flavour. Malty with a warming alco-feel. Grassy, hay-like bitterness.

Draft @ Piaci Pub & Pizza, Fort Bragg, CA. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy pine needles aroma. Sweetish malty bitter hoppy piney flavor with some citrus hints. Has a sweetish malty bitter hoppy finish with a long bitter aftertaste.

4 beers in. Great beer. We started comparing it to stone ipa in how much we would like to drink it. So, it is good ipa. More malty then stone.

Tap at Toronado. The body was medium copper with an off white head. The aroma was straight forward pine and caramel. There was also some orange. The taste was a little leathery with some oranges and apples. Decent, but a little boring.

22 oz bomber. Hazy amber beer with a thin white head. Aroma is quite spicy/fruity. Soft pine/grapefruit with a kiss of light peppery notes. Pretty solid aroma. There is a nice herbal character that is unusual for a west coast IPA. A nice combination of spice and grapefruit. It’s pretty atypical but it works pretty well. Soft sweetness, a bit of toasted malt and pale character. Fairly hoppy bitterness and a lingering orange citrusy flavour. Quite dry on the back. Pretty solid really.

Well constructed overall - malty with nice hop presence. Nothing noteworthy but a decent drink.

Hazy orange pour. Floral citrus, caramel melts, well balanced nose and flavor reflects the same. Quenching body and decent bitterness is physically felt in the drying mouth quality. NOt noteworthy, but a solid example of the style, and well constructed.
