Pours a thick head, though it disappears quickly leaving some lace clinging to the glass. Cloudy orange color, with a hint of brown in it. Nice hop aroma of fresh hops. Nice hoppy aroma. Spicy hops. Not sure of the variety, but sure would like to know so I could play around with them in my homebrew!! Good light hoppy aftertaste. This was rated at BevMo as being a 100 point IPA. Now I’m not necessarily sure I’d go that high, but its pretty nice nontheless. Not overpowering. Good even keel body that would allow you to drink more than one if you wanted to.

22 oz. bomber. Really a pretty disappointing IPA... rather thin and lacking in hop character and flavor. As far as IPA’s go, it’s middle of the road in my opinion.

Clear orange amber with no head. Grapefruit and pine aroma and taste with a soapy bitter finish.

This draft brew from the brew pub poured a head of finely sized white colored bubbles that were fully diminished and left behind a transparent uncarbonated light orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of hops and sweet. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Murky orange appearance. Pungent fruit and malt nose. Mandarain orange, biscuits with honey, soda crackers. An intense yerba mate and macha green tea taste, at times with honey and others without. Herbal with understated sweetness. Dry grapefruit finish. Palate is heavy and vegetal. Somewhat of a west coast standard, uncompromising and slightly noisy. Thanks Larry!

Draft at O’Brien’s. Clear golden yellow without much head. Some aromas of citrus hops, but a little weak. Flavors were more hoppy than the aromas, but still just some very bitter flavor that was decent, but not awesome.

22 oz bottle thanks to drewbeerme for this sample. Pours a clear amber orange with a fluffy beige head. Citrus grapefruit aroma lots of cookie. Cookie can sometimes be good in IPA’s and other times it seems to signal bad things to come. Lets see with this. Citrus cloying no bitterness. This must be old, I can’t finish.

22 ounce bottle purchased at the Mace Nugget in Davis, CA. Quite an aromatic IPA. Plenty of lightly sweet, orangey notes in the nose. Grapefruit and pine are also in there. Some ethanol is detected retronasally, though. Very mildly hazy copper-orange body with a nice, stong off-white head and nice nice lacing. I’d probably give this a 4.5 if I could. Plenty of piney, juicy hops straight up. Has some nice malty balance in the middle. A bit caramelly. Finishes a little dry and has a slightly floral hop presence. Nicely balanced, but seems a bit straight-forward.
