Another amazing IPA, really puts the cascade hop/grapefruit taste forefront, which is a good thing for me. Just behind the great hoppy beers at Russian River.

"the beer tasting institute gave this a 99/100, and i can see why. it has everything a west coast ipa should have and nothing it shouldn’t. great beer all around...highly drinkable except that it only comes in 22s. just as good in the bottle as it is from the tap."

Very nice aroma with a flavor to match. One of the best IPA’s I have ever tasted.

This is my favorite IPA as of right now. Rated 100 points by the Bev Mo beer ambassadors. Not very hoppy for an IPA, tastes between a pale and an IPA. Nice light malty flavor as well. I love Marin!!

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Wonderful example of an IPA - very flavorful, well hopped and well rounded. Citrus smell

This one pours a cloudy amber color with a big off-white head that lingers for a while before finally receding to a thin layer of foam. Nice lacings line the insides of the glass. The aroma is very fruity and citrusy from the hops. Medium bodied, no big hop flavor profiles like some American IPA's, this one is quite smooth and malty, with some hop bitterness in the finish, but not much. Very well balanced flavor and alcohol is well hidden. Nice.

Combined notes from draft and bottled tastings. Medium orange, nice head. Big aroma of orange, grapefruit, and pine. Grapefruit hops melt into resinous, spicy finish. Just enough malts to balance. Earthy notes in there too.

Poured a coppery color with an average sized off-white head. The smell of this beer is amazing. Very hoppy nose, citrus and pine. Flavor does not quite live up to the aroma but is still very good. Not quite as hoppy as expected but well balanced. Creamy mouthfeel and dry finish. A great session beer.
