Draft at the brewpub. An amber beer with a lazing offwwhite head. The aroma is sweet and quite hoppy - in the spicy sense. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and spicy hops, leading to a bitter finish where notes of citrus fruits appear.

(Bottle 65 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving some lacework. Weak aroma of citrus. Medium-bodied, lightly sweet malt and lovely fruity notes of peaches and a whiff of citrus. The finish is dry with a subdued bitterness. A straight APA without any fuss. 280307

Bottled. Brownish clear amber. Cascade fragrant. Sweet and clean with medium body and loads of lychee-like hop flavour. Medium bitterness. A hugely aromatic APA.

Cloudy amber; Pleasant hop aroma; harsh hops on the palate, astringency, little malt. Maybe not at its best, but not gone off far enough to know for sure. Need another bottle.

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Almost identical to the IPA, but a little less alcohol (5.4% v. 6.8%) and a little less hoppy; faint taste of pine tree

Bottle acquired in trade with DarkElf (thanks!). Aromas of citrus (lemons) and flowers. Tastes of lemons, tangerines, and light grapefruit. Lightly sweet. Had a light sourness to it - we may have saved this one from going bad.

(Bottle) Pours a hazy burnt orange body with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma of light citrus and caramel. Flavor of malt and hops (lots of malt for a pale ale).
