CelticBrew (419), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Apr 23, 2008 Pours a very hazy amber-orange, forming large foamy head. Aroma of pines, a bit of wet forrest, caramels with malts. Flavour is full bodied, malt, hops with pines. Some what sticky, with a smooth charatcter that makes it easy drinking beer. A bit tart at the end. Superb beer, would love to try on tap.
blutt59 (478), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 28, 2008 bottle, good orange color, citrus hoppy nose, flavor is plain and mild for this style but body and finish are decent Sledge Jr (2692), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 26, 2008 In the bomber bottle from HyVee CB. Pours a rich dark gold with a large beige head. A fairly classic pale ale. Grapefruit and mild pine aroma. A very nice hop aroma. Flavor has just a dab of butterscotch mixed with the orange and grapefruit citrus taste. Nice malty finish. This is a good bottled pale ale. Better than SNPA. DrBayern (879), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Apr 30, 2008 22 oz. bomber courtesy of CelticBrew, and shared with him as well. Slightly hazy gold pour, a little unexpected for the style, but with a substantial white head that lasted nicely and showed some good lace. Aroma of light honey, citrus and some distant pine. Medium body and carbonation, with a mildly resinous mouthfeel. Good balance between the light malt flavors and a citrus rind bitterness that comes on at the end for a pleasingly dry finish. GJF (181), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Apr 3, 2008 Bomber/pint glass. Poured a fairly hazy orange, small white head. Nice floral aroma. Toasted malt with a nice crisp piny hop finish. A little overly fizzy, but a solid APA.
