RunDWP (203), San Jose, California, USA Sep 17, 2008 On tap. Seems like the flagship brew for Marin Brewing, and I can see why. I found this pretty bitter, more like an IPA than an ale. Floral, piney aroma. Burnt orange color with a fluffy white head and lots of lacing on the glass. Some sweet maltiness, but a lot of surprising piney hops bittness, and some floral flavor notes. Complex and well balance. Really liked this.
AlabastorJones (652), San Francisco, California, USA Dec 8, 2008 Yellow, gold body, foggy and stinking of cascades, mild balance of smooth light malts and pleasant cascade floral flavor, a very pleasing plae ale, had two pints of it while out to eat in the city. doubleo (1000), San Diego, California, USA Nov 19, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours clearish golden amber with a moderate sized white head, good lace. Smell ever so slightly nutty with subdued earthy, grassy hops and a hint of cereal, sweet malt. Tastes nice and hoppy a little on the sweet side, grassy and coating with a solid backbone of dry, cereal malt. Medium, coating body, just ok carbonation. Beardface (344), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 19, 2008 22 oz Bottle from John’s in Portland. Pours a nice dark orange color with a big white head. Very fruity and cascadey with a bitter finish. Kind of a boring pale ale, not that it’s a super exciting style to begin with I suppose. This one kind of just sits there. spikester (482), Salem, Oregon, USA Oct 6, 2008 Huge white head and good lacings. Amber color and piney-hop aroma. Malt and hops are typical of the West Coast IPA flavors and a bit much for an APA. Very fine brew. Only downside was the possible over carbonation but may have been the result of too much josteling on the trip home. Would definately have this again. Nice label art. fakepurseninja (601), Washington, USA Sep 24, 2008 Nice flagship, west coast APA. Nice biscuity malt backbone with a full floral hop component. Light pine and citrus,
