Rich, sustaining head. Dark, clear beer. Too astringent in the flavor for my taste, most of the niceties in the aroma are lost. Foamy, medium bodied. Later aroma is more vinous and other characters fade.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Pours to a very dark brown body with a lasting fizzy dark brown head. The aroma is sweet milk chocolate and nice chocolate malts. The flavor is chocolatey with a nice robust black patent and bitter chocolate. The palate is creamy, moderately bodied, and slightly astringent. rmussman (906), California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2007 Probably one of my favorite porters. Moylan and Marin brews are steadily becoming some of my favorite. Pour is frothy and dark dark brown. Mouthfeel is crisp and has a lasting chalky taste. Flavor is excellent with thick malts. A fine brew. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 19, 2007 22oz bottle poured a super dark brown color with a nice light brown head. The aroma was full of rich chocolate, roast, oats and caramel with some small amounts of coffee and hops. The taste was more of the rich chocolate that anything else. No noticable hop bitterness or flavor. Just the right amount of carbonation make for a good creamy mouthfeel. glkaiser (1173), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 13, 2007 Dark brown almost black with huge overflowing head. Sweet dark chocolate and lots of roasted malts in the aroma. A little coffee. Very yummy....tons of roasted malt without being too heavy. Definitely above average and worth trying. haggis03a3 (140), Piedmont, California, USA

At first, when it was cold, not much aroma, but it opened up to a sweet malty chocolate/coffe aroma. Good hop flavor and good palate. It became a little sweet for me by the end though. It reminded me a bit of a stout. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 30, 2006 Updated: Jan 24, 2007Bomber from Liquid Solutions. Pours dark brown and settles brown/black with a craggy mocha head that is a thumb thick and lasting. Very concentrated cocoa/coffee aromain the fore and it has a faint touch of coffee and slightly more chocolate on through the the finish. Fore is ever so slightly tart, but that quickly subsides and roast malt and chocolate come through. Slightly thin. Fairly acidic, but doesn’t have a lot of coffee flavor you often find in west coast porters. Some green herbal hop notes appear briefly near the finish. I had high hopes for this beer, but it’s really just okish. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
