Bottle. Dark black with a medium fluffy brown head. The aroma is soft, dry, cocoa-ish and slightly thin. Thin palate with chocolate flavours, fluffy with fusel aclohol and raisins.

Pours dark, dark brown. Aroma of s’mores. Fizzy mouthfeel with toasty coffee/chocolate flavors. Finishes with a moderate hop bitterness. It grew on me over the course of the bottle but I’m not clamoring for more.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, and MDS, Harry’s bottle. Black, huge beige head - foamy. Malty sweet aroma - nice. Very dry roasty taste. Maybe a little watery in the body. Solid porter, so says my drunken notes.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, mds & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a large lasting light-brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate along with some yeast and hops. Dry flavour of roasted malt, chocolate, yeast and hops -- also a little lactic and with a pleasant bitter finish. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Almost Stout-like. I quite liked this.

Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy, mds and tupalev, my bottle. Poured opaque black with a huge fluffy light brown head. Dry roasty and lactic aroma, chocolate malt, mild green hops. Taste of bitter chocolate roast malt, hoppy, dry, not as sweet as the aroma, medium-long bitter finish. Average porter body, light carbonation and astringency, bitter linger - above average porter.

22oz bottle via my Christmas in July Secret Santa! - Thanks! _Pours very dark brown with a nice creamy tan head that stays very well and laces the glass in sheets. Looks just like a porter should. Aroma of milk chocolate and much roasted malt with some light lactose. Flavor is good dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, caramel, and just a touch of lactose and some piney hops on the finish. Good soft creamy mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation. I liked this one a lot!!

Served from 22 oz bomber. What a beautiful beer to behold, dark, dark brown almost completely black , massive frothy.bubbly light brown head. Nice. aroma is good of dark chocs and roasted malt, some lactic aromas but pleasing . Knock out taste of esspresso coffee, reeally dark bitter sweet Belgian chocolate.Gooseberry like sweetness at the edge of the mouth..bitterness from the roasted malts abounds in the after taste, quite impressive. Good mouthfeel, smooth and not boring. A good porter indeed..liked it and found it on par with Deschutes Black Butte.
