Pours a nearly opaque with dark mahogany edges and a thin, wispy-lacing tan head. Roasty coffee and dark chocolate nose with a smooth malty character. Starts with an effervescent lightly sweet dark caramel flavor before a milk chocolatey finish. A pretty good porter.

Pours a beautiful deep brown/black similar in color as motor oil with a small tan head, and average lacing. Below average carbonation with a sweet smell of smoky roasted malts. Tastes of malt, coffee and tobacco Very sweet with a slight woody bitter taste. Light on the pallet, this beer is not bad but could use more flavor…raising the ABV would help.

22 oz bottle pours a deep brown with a light brown fluffy head. Aroma is some what faint scents of milk chocolate, light coffee/roast and sweet malt. Flavor is fairly sweet and malty with moderate chocolate, coffee/roasted flavors. Well balanced bitterness, softly hopped. Nice mellow molasses flavor in the sweet long finish. Moderate mouthfeel and moderately carbonated.

Not a lot of aroma but a beautiful appearance and color. Flavor is quite sweet, with some roastiness and maybe a hint of chocolate. Pretty good but probably to sweet for me.

Black pour, moderate sized tan head with some lacing and retention. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, caramel, moderate to light hops. Medium bodied, rich flavors. Well balanced and enjoyable porter. Very drinkable, a pleasant surprise.

22 oz bottle. Poured a nearly opaque black color. Only a bit of garnet light came through. The head was thick and creamy with good retention and lacing. Nice aroma; chocolate (none of that cheap powered cocoa) and a hint of roasted malt. Roasty and moderately bitter on the tongue. No significant sweetness. I tasted chocolate mostly, but there was also some molasses and roasted malt. Lots of carbonation. In fact, the bottle foamed over after popping the cap. Good porter.
