On tap at the brewery. It pours a perfect porter darkness with thin tan head. It has a mild malt sweetness mixed with mild black patent burnt malts. The taste is rich roastiness swirling around with burnt malt notes. It’s a full flavored porter just like the stout. Plenty of flavor interest.

Draft at MBC. Small tan head that mostly diminished, virtually no lacing, opaque, no carbonation, and a dark brown hue. Nose was roasty, malt, caramel, coffee, and chocolate. Ditto for the flavor along with a burnt taste. Smooth mouthfeel and light body. Nicely done and quite tasty for the style. Worthy of a try.

Black colour with a big light brown head. Roasted, coffee bitter aroma with fruity sweet notes. Roasted light coffee bitter flavor with notes of bread and fruit. Dry and roasted finish.

Pours a deep opaque brown with lots of light brown particulates floating around. Strong chocolate and coffee nose from roasted malts and a bit of dried pitted fruits. Robust flavours of sweet chocolate, burnt coffee and light fruits, surprisingly, with a bitter hop and cocoa finish that sucks moisture from the sides of the mouth. A truly dry and chalky finish with long palate duration. Some lacing of the glass is apparent but my bottle produced almost no head and absolutely no head retention. Despite this, this is an incredible porter.

Bomber Courtesy of Irishboy, Thanks Richard! Pours a rich dark brown colour with medium frothy tan head. Lots of brown yeast particles. Aroma displays roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and hints of dark fruits. Initial taste; soft carbonation; dark fruits make their slight appearance which get splashed over by the chocolate and coffee. Finishing with a bitter hops, coffee and dark chocolate on the palate. Palate duration is good. Nice lacing of the glass and decent head retention, a fine looking brew. Medium Body. Would drink this on all day basis. My first Marin and I am impressed.

Bottle. POurs with a brown color and a giant head. This beer is super carbonated, but thankfully it is not fizzy. It has a nice robust body, with aroams of chocolate and roasted malts and flavors are more of the same. A Porter that is robust but not overly heavy, very drinkable.

Dark brown with a short tan head that quickly turns into a brown ring. Deep roasted malt with chocolate, licorice, and coffee. Coffee and bittersweet chocolate, some grain, toasted bread, and some smoked malt are all here. Bitter metallic finish. The good does outweight the bad in this one.
