| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 4, 2009 From Firefly. Poured seriously dark, almost black, beneath a creamy tan head of no great thickness; this did not stay very long. Not a lot for the nose here, maybe some roasted malt. Taste was delicious, with coffee, the malt, and perhaps dark chocolate at play. Nice dry finish. ericandersnavy (1125), crossroads, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 22, 2009 Poured clear dark brown with an almost two-finger tall tan head. The aroma was roasted malts, chalky and a touch of coffee. The flavor was smoky, roasted malts, light coffee and a touch of chocolaty sweetness. The mouthfeel was thin and the finish fairly succinct. Drinkable, just not all that exciting.
