Bomber. I was disappointed with this stout. the flavor seemed thin and fizzy. the finish is tart and bitter. There is a slight coffee and chocolate flavor but I disagree with other reviews that is it prominent. I doubt I’d buy this again.

(from notes). Bottle. Nose is pure chocolate. Pours black with no head. Pure chocolate taste is nice, but palate is extremely thin for a stout.

Makings of a great double stout. Coffee is the big theme here. Roasty, bitter aroma. Coffee tastes with some chocolate. Big problem is it is thin and light. No backbone. Took away from the experience. Would have liked it to be slightly thicker.

From a 22 oz bottle this poured a very dark brown tending toward black with a fat and tan head that lasted quite a while and left nice lacing. Nose was dark roasted malts with chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is smooth and flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee. This is not a heavy stout which might displease some raters, but it is very smooth. Sightly bitter finish. Nice Stout.

Mostly roasted malt and yeast in the aroma. Black in appearance with a thick brown head. Medium palate supports a tangy roasted malt flavor that is almost burnt. Some light chocolate flavors--pretty much 1-dimensional.

Poured, or should I say, tried to pour into my Delirium tulip glass. The cap popped with plenty of carbonation. However, this thing was all head when I tried to pour it. Over half the glass was head that just would not go away. It took me literally 15 minutes to pour this and it still has a solid 1/2 inch head. Smell is a light coffee, with some sort of a funky, yeasty fruit smell. Taste is a very strong coffee flavor. This is a very carbonated beer. It almost has a "belgian" carbonation to it. It’s that carbonated. The mouthfeel is nice, but a little thin for a stout. This is a decent sessionable stout. Nothing to seek out and hunt down. An average stout.

Bottle. Black with small tan lacing type head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla, and roasted malts. The taste was the same with slightly fizzy cardonation. Smooth with slight bitter finish. Very Good, better than I thought it would be.
