Pours a dark brown with no transparency and a large creamy brown head with very good retention. Lots of coffee up front with equal amounts of plum. Roasty in the middle. Slight grapefruit hoppiness in the finish. Very tastey. A little thin for a stout. Reminds me a lot of a Baltic Porter. Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 13, 2006 (Bottle 22oz.) A big chocolate head covering a deep brown-black body. Aroma of roasted coffee and nuts. A flavor that is more on the sweet side than dry. I like the beer because it is thinner than a imperial stout yet more robust than a dry. As the beer warms the complexity certainly shines. Very good.
