22oz. bottle. Opaque black with a medium sized light brown rocky head. Muted roast malt and some sweetness in the aroma. CAramel, coffee, and milk chocolate in the flavor. Residual sweetness and some astringency in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium and unimpressive.

Nicely rocky brownish head. Dark color which doesn’t allow light to pass through. Very roasty flavor which stays on the pallete for awhile. One of my favorite brews when I go over to Marin Brewing Company. Couldn’t believe I hadn’t rated it yet! No doubt I’ll buy it again!

Bottle. Pours a dark black with a froathy brown head. Aroma is roasted chocolate. Flavor is chocolate with espresso. Full mouthfeel with a fairly dry finish.

Bomber poued a dark opague black with a lasting brown head and leaving behind Brussels lace. Aromas of coffee, red wine, and bittersweet chocolate. Palate was smooth and a bit dry. Flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, and a hint of smokieness, with a dry chocolatey finish.

Sweetish malt aroma. Fairly black pour with light, caramel head. Sour malt flavor with a madeira like quality. Slight bitterness at the swallow. Fairly disappointing. Thanks to herbjones for the sample.

A very nice stout. Thin but creamy head. Has lots of roasted flavors, a touch of sweetness with quite a bit of fruitiness. Good flavor--some coffee, some chocolate, with a unique yeast flavor as well. Not run-of-the-mill at all. Well-balanced and interesting offering.

Very dark. Extremely dark. Has an extremely charcoal-y flavor to it. Almost no head to it, and has no lace on the glass. Malty flavors abound, and has a nice mocha finish to it. Very nice.
