Very soft and creamy. No astringency. Black patent not evident if used at all. Good mouthfeel soft and round with nice Mocha and coffee notes. Very clean fairly dry finish.

The nose was roasty and coffee w/ a caramel sweetness. The flavor was Chocolatey w/ roast and coffee. The beer poured an opaque color w/ thin lasting brown head and slight lacing. The mouthfeel was creamy and smooth, well-rounded and full bodied.

Body is black with a thin mocha head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, caramel, smoke. Taste is like a candy bar, with coffee, mouthfeel leaves much to be desired and is too fizzy.

22oz bomber-pours 97% black with a small tan head. This beer looks thin on the pour-more like a porter. low viscosity. aroma of lactic twangy sour chocolate, marshmellows, coca, and some roast. flavors are rancidly sour with a broken down black patent malt profile that resembled coffee that had been sitting at a truck stop restaurant for about 5 hours. Maybe i got an old bottle of this beer, but i dont see this beer being too good even fresh due to the lack of body. very over-rated!

Bottle. Reddish black color with a big cocoa colored head. Roasty flavor, fruity (cherry), toffee all in the mix. Nice subdued roasty aroma. Creamy body. Easy to drink. A little too fruity for my taste. No harsh flavors.

Dark black with a medium sized tan head. Aroma and flavor of dark roasted chocolate malts and some dark fruits.
