Taste is like a candy bar, with coffee, mouthfeel leaves much to be desired and is too fizzy. brewbandit (312), Marietta, Georgia, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 14, 2005 22oz bomber-pours 97% black with a small tan head. This beer looks thin on the pour-more like a porter. low viscosity. aroma of lactic twangy sour chocolate, marshmellows, coca, and some roast. flavors are rancidly sour with a broken down black patent malt profile that resembled coffee that had been sitting at a truck stop restaurant for about 5 hours. Maybe i got an old bottle of this beer, but i dont see this beer being too good even fresh due to the lack of body. very over-rated! bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 7, 2005 Bottle. Reddish black color with a big cocoa colored head. Roasty flavor, fruity (cherry), toffee all in the mix. Nice subdued roasty aroma. Creamy body. Easy to drink. A little too fruity for my taste. No harsh flavors. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
