| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Bottle at home ... Thanks to Agent Steve for this one ... deep black with short lived brown foam head ... oddly almost no nose just a faint roast .. soft roast ... light hint of sourness ... some gentle coffee ... like the nose this has a very low flavour level... whats there is quite tasty ... some chocolate ... a ligth vanilla ... but ive never seen such a low flavour profile in a stout... ligth roast bitterness in linger ...
Ok its coming to life a bit more as it warms up ... I hadnt chilled it ... I NEVER CHILL beers but it was direct from my beer storage about 16C (60F) so not that ... more roast shows ... and a bit more chocoalte ... Beershine (2710), Where Climate Suits My Clothes, Vietnam

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Hell yeah! Almost a black pour with a good tan colored head. Big nose of chocolate, raisins, some cherry notes and coffee as well. This one tastes really nice. Chocolate shines through with some light roasted tones, a small dose of hops and some fruity notes are present. Well rounded stout IMO. BrotherGrendel (587), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 9, 2009 A- Pours the darkest of browns, with a moderate brown foamy head and consistent sticky lacing throughout
S- Nose dominated by cocoa/chocolate, some coffee and vanilla tones as well, cant catch too much in the way of hops
T- Taste begins with a nice combination of chocolate and espresso, some roasty feeling and finishing with a mild bite of bitter dry hops
M- Medium/heavy bodied stout, good carbonation, but I think the texture is too watery for a stout
D- Nice and smooth drinking stout, this is a solid offering that unfortunately lacks any sort of boldness or uniqueness, being a fan of the more imperial styles of stouts, I doubt I would go out of my way to pick up this middle-of-the-road offering again in the future homeslice (36), , California, USA
