Bomber thanks to Santa! Poured a lovely deep brown with an inch or so of creamy deep tan head. The aroma picked up well-roasted, yet sweeter coffee and cola notes, with used coffee grounds leaving a lasting impression. The flavor was all about the coffee, with roasted notes in all phases of the drink.. a bit of sweeter chocolate joins at the base, while coffee bitterness takes over on the sides.. long, well-caffeinated finish. Medium-bodied with a nice bitter (and lightly sour) slant across the palate.. warmer at the end, and quite enjoyable.

Black with a light brown head which fades to a frothy sheen. Vinous sour smell with roasted malts. Smooth mouthfeel. Rich, hearty bittersweet toasted rolled oat flavor with a hint of tobacco. Has a nicely bitter burnt malt taste to finish. good stout. 22106

Pours an opaque black colour with ruby edges, slight sedimentation and a large bubbled, rocky brown head. Some lacing is left and the head shows great retention. The nose is similar to that of old coffee with suggestions of nougat, milk chocolate, vanilla and smoke. The flavour is what the nose suggests and it balances hop and malt bitterness with malt flavour and sweetness. The impression of nougat and coffee and dominant mid-palate and the finish is almost cola-like. The mouthfeel is creamy, but with poorly matched carbonation that feels like soda carbonation. A nice stout that hides the alcohol well!

Courtesy of Irishboy, thanks Richard! Pours dark brown opaque color with lots yeast particulates. Large frothy tan head with good head retention and lacing of the glass. Nose of baker’s cocoa, roasted malts, nuts and lactic sour overlay. Initial taste is a thin to medium body that is creamy with lots of cocoa. Mid palate of smoke and black coffee. FInishing with cocoa, roasted malts and mild hops. Good palate duration.

This beer pours a dark brown and has a thick sudsy head with great laceing along the sides of the glass. The aroma resembles a milky way bar considering it has hints of chocolate malt and a nutty nuget to complement it. As the beer warmed up it tastes like burnt coffee with a lot of earth hop bitterness. the palate is nice and leaves a creamy nutty finish. It was not that watery and more full bodied.

Poured from tap a dark blackness with a non-exsistant head. This seems to to the standard when getting on at MBC. Filled to the brim but no head. Aroma is of toasted grains and espresso. The flavor comes through as a creamy toasted oats and barley with a bit of coffee. Toasty all the way. Not much in the way of carbonation however. A very nice drinkable stout. I just wish the presentation was nicer.

650 ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours a dark black color with a big tan head that lasts a fair while. The aroma is rich with roasted coffee beans, chocolate and some dark fruits. The flavor features coffee and plenty of roasted grains. The mouthfeel is a bit light for a stout, the carbonation is also understated. The finish is long and a bit sour. Overall: a decent stout but not a great one. Recommended.

Poured a black color with a moderately sized head. Had flavors of coffee and chocolate. Very smooth on the palate with not even a hint of bitterness. As is the case with most stouts this one got a little better as it warmed up.
