On Tap at Maritime Pacific Seattle. Pours out a almost black topped with a nice tan head. A great aroma of light roast and coffee. A little bitter chocolate on the end Pretty good.

A deep black nectar from the gods. This had flavor aroma and a deep rich coffee and dark malts falvor I loved. The beer was cold served in a great pint and the beer had flavor for the next few beers. A Great Porter. The richness was very good and finished the night perfect.

Draught at the brewery’s pub next door. Flavor was a little more subdued than I would have liked. One of the better offerings from Maritime.

Nearly opaque black/brown with a creamy tan head and nice lacing. Roasted malt and some sweetness dominate the aroma. The flavor is more roasted malt and some sweet malted milkballs, Light-medium body watery finish. Not so good.

Crimson ruby mahogany with tan head & lacing. The aroma is hoppy with light roast & astringency. The flavor is sharp with black patent & hops. Finishes mild, tart. A bit unbalanced.

Small head, minimal aroma. Notes of toffee all over the place. Roasty charcoal tastes creep in and surround the finish. A good porter for serious lovers of dark, burnt beer.

Black with a thick chocolate head, this was quite a robust porter. Robust black malt aroma and flavor, though the taste was rather offkey, a combination of sharp cheese and smoke. Deep roast--great for cookouts.
