| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2008 On tap @ the brewpub. Pours clear copper with off white head and some nice lacing. It has a pleasing malty aroma of roasted malts, caramel and nuttiness to go along with a faint hint of buttered bread. The taste has a nice mix of roasted malts, caramel and mild nuttiness. I also get some sweet molasses and a hint of pine hops wondering around deep in the background. Tasty malty brew with enough roasted malt dryness and mild hoppiness to keep the varied malty sweetness in check. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Smells yeasty and perhaps citrusy at times. Dull copper appearance with little head when poured gently. Intial taste is medium hop bitterness then malts and even a hint of soap follows. Some smooth carbonation. A little mediciney on the finish, lingers a while. robforbes (1094), Bremerton, Washington, USA
