Commercial Description:
Hoppy, crisp, and citrusy, with an underlying malt character. Made by blending lots of malted barley, wheat, and a judicious quantity of Cascade hops. A "big" beer!

Pours amber with a rocky head. Smells of citrus, some malt. Tastes bitter and dry with some resiny touches. Not much going on here.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with riversideAK (thanks!). Poured a deeper golden color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, wet grass, earthy, and a little spicy. Tastes of citrus, spicy, and somewhat earthy. More bitter than sweet. Thin for an IIPA.

What a fine drink this turned out to be. Huge sweet biscuit malt character that is smoothly interwoven into a heavy, though mild, grapefruit citrus hop presence. For being an IIPA, the malt really shines in this drink - the wheat complements the smooth barley base and the hops serve only to accent the drink. Also noted was a thinly veiled vegetable component in the quiet floral ensemble - certainly attributable to hop choice.

Highly underated brew that comes from a highly underated brewery. You wake up drunk but not hung over! Cheers

Pours a fully fogged in amber. Nose is pretty subdued with a metallic edge and slight hops. There is a pretty distinct alcohol edge that peeked out when things got warmer. Flavor is a bit meaty with a fairly prominent alcohol on the tongue. Slight hop character and a bitter tang is there. I would be interested to know the precise ABV on this puppy. Feel is good with the bubble and kind of thick on the liquid. Overall drinkable. Though the hit of alcohol on the tongue doesn’t really add. Is kind of a mild DIPA and doesn’t really carry any punch in the mouth as far as that goes. Smooth, but doesn’t really carry a mass of character. Do away with that alcohol showing up and you’d make things even more interesting I think.

Pours a golden apricot with two fingers of white head that clings to the glass as it slowly fades to a ring. Smells of sweet caramel malt and piney grassy hops. Pretty subtle for IIPA. Taste shows you why its in this catagory. Starts of sweet malt then smacks you with some hops and a bitter grapefruit rind finish. Smooth and full in the mouth with limited carbonation. Very drinkable and well worth a try.

Gold, with a thin head. Citrus aroma. Smells like pizza (hey, I was in a pizza joint when I had it). Good carbonation with grapefruit in the front, middle, and finish.
