12 oz bvc. Pour is a slightly hazed golden orange with beautiful settling and a thick two inch white head. Head falls slowly, leaving behind thick, sticky lacing. Pretty. Aroma of fresh resin hops and toasted maltiness. The maltiness is soft, and very fresh smelling. Taste is the resin hops, somewhere between pine and orange peel citrus. The nice toasted maltiness carries through to the middle and finish, and is quite husky and fresh. Palate is medium, with lingering toasted sweetness. There is a pleasant unfiltered mineral element to this beer as well. Nicely balanced pale ale. Thanks for sending this my way, Brandon!

Dry hopped cask. Golden with light citrus aroma. Hops come through more in the taste along with moderate bitterness. Well balanced and makes for a great session.

Draught @ Jolly Roger Taproom, Seattle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a malty hoppy aroma with some hints of citrus. Dry malty hoppy bitter flavor with some grapefruit hints. Has a long malty hoppy bitter finish.

This orange gold pour has a bubbly white head. It smells of citrus hops and is quite bitter to the taste. The malt cuts in nicely and leaves a smooth and light finish.

9/11/08 On draught at Whistle Stop Alehouse, Renton Washington. This is one of their two house beers, and a dry hopped version of Islander. Aroma is a light, sweet blend of Caramel and floral PNW hops. Appearance is hazy gold with a well maintained white head. Flavor is slightly hop forward, but has a good amount of malt balance. It’s sweet but not cloying, slightly bready, and infuses well with the floral notes from the hops. Bittering is medium, sweet and has just a hint of grassiness, but no harsh earthiness. There’s a lot of citrus in the finish, but tends more to softer orange notes than harsh lemony astringency. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy, with a very faint resin/starchy texture that is not objectonable. Carbonation is medium in texture. Overall, very easy drinking for a rather complex pale ale. There’s light flavors here, but more than enough to round out the pallette for many different types of beer preferences.

On draft at BrewPub - dry hopped version. Arrived a clear golden amber color with a small whitish head that leaves generous lace. Mild aroma with crispy florals and citrus along with toasty malts. Rich toasty and caramel malts, nice fruitiness with floral and citrus hops and a bit of spice. Medium body, creamy, tingly carbonation.

Hazy golden in color with a little white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Malty and hoppy spicy aroma. Spicy crisp tangerine flavor. Piney hoppy notes. Finish is sweet. Dry tasting. Decent beer.

Bottle from Bierkraft. Pours without much head. Flavor has a crisp tangerine zest tanginess to it. Dry and dusty with a long, sweet finish. Seems like a nice candidate to end up in a firkin.
