Draught from the Jolly Roger in Seattle. Expected bigger things from this pale ale. Nothing about it was bad, but nothing really stood out either. Probably had something to do with being placed in the middle of a 5-beer sampler.

Had the dry-hopped version on tap for breakfast at the 5-spot in Upper Queen Anne. Excellent. A truly fine pale cale, crisp and clean. It had a great floral hop character to it and was consistent throughout. A great finish. Had again and scored it a 4.5 Great beer.

Bottle. Hazy amber/orange with a frothy white head leaving striped lace. Aromatic hop aroma--lots of orange and grapefruit, with some peach and biscuit to caramel malt underneath. Caramel malt flavor with bright citrusy hops throughout. Dry hop finish, leaving some lingering bitterness. Hoppiness is way more than "subtle" as advertised in the commercial description entered on this site. There’s an assertive citrusy hoppiness here, but I’m not complaining. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Seems like there’s some fine residual yeast in this one as well. Overall one of the better APA’s I’ve had in a while.

Poured an amazing glowing orange color. Swirly creamy head. Great lacing. Very very very enjoyable beer. Perhaps the best pale ale from Seattle!

On tap. Pours a hazy golden color with a nice white head on top. Aroma is full of hops, citrus, pine, and grapefruit. Flavor is full of citrus and grapefruit hops with caramel sweetness coming in. Finishes sweet and fresh. Very enjoyable!

Big head, aroma is citrus and hoppy. Golden body with a slight haze. Tasty malts and bittering hops. Clean and fresh.

Pours a hazy light orange, moderate head with ok retention. Aroma is light hops, grassy and floral. Moderate, balancing sweetness in the palate with fluffy floral hopping. Light citrus. Slightly oxidized, unfortunantly. Finish is sweet, fruity but not overdone.
