From the bottle.
Elegant goldenrod color, slightly cloudy; the head is limited. The aroma is hoppy with a strong twist of grapefruit and a hint of yeast. The carbonation is spot on; the palate is what I’d hope for in a pale ale, full and decisive without being overwhelming in any way. The flavor is well balanced and pleasingly dry, not too fruity.
This is a lovely Pacific Northwest pale ale, superbly refreshing.

Wow - now I taste and even smell the corn-like flavor. How did I ever miss this?
Still a nice enough beer (and man does it go down easy), but not quite the star performer I thought it was the first time around. 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA

Subtle floral nose, a touch of grapefruit, and unfortunately a little wet sock. Quite a bit more floral and hop assertiveness on the tongue, with the aformentioned grapefruit. Luckily no wet sock to speak of. Moderate body and mouthfeel. Smooth finish, lingering hop notes with a touch of grapefruit peel. Not a great nose, but quite tasty, clean, and smooth. I can only imagine that the draught version would be even better!

Rich malty flavor, apricot fruitiness and a nice hoppy balance. Bitter finish. A great brew. Major thanks to Andre’ for the nice PacNW brews! BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2004 Dry Hopped Version: Gold, color with white head & lacing. The aroma is hoppy with some light PNW fresh hops. I can say, yeah, it’s dry hopped. The flavor however is under hopped with some light alcohol sugars. Finishes lightly bitter & hoppy. Good. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England

Decent amount of flavour, but not over the top, some lychee/pine/citrus as expected. Medium bitterness, not too much wrong here, justnot overly interesting. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 27, 2004 Well balanced pale ale. Light orange colored, translucent. Aroma similiar to a pilsner, grassy, yes, like saaz. Flavor is sweet and malty, unlike a pils. Slight dryness on the finish from the hops, but mostly malty sweet. Thanks Andre' for this one
