A little bit dry aroma. I liked the lager much more than this one. I was getting some butter really.

Draft at the brewery. Crystal clear pale yellow with frothy white head. Mild grassy nose. Fizzy, watery body that’s actually quite quenching and enjoyable. Mild grass notes give way to some nuts and wet-leafy notes as it warms. Always stays refreshing, clean, and easy drinking. Not exactly a triumph, but doesn’t make it hard to enjoy drinking beer, either.

Draught @ Jolly Roger Taproom, Seattle. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Has a malty grainy and grassy aroma with some hoppy hints. Malty grainy grassy hoppy flavor. Has a long malty hoppy bitter finish.

On tap @ the brewpub. Pours clear gold with nice full bright white head. The aroma is mild bringing up some roast to grain malts and a hint of noble hops. It seems to have a standard pilsner taste but a bit long on the sugar sweet malts. It starts mildly grainy moving toward solid malt sweetness and a background of floral to spicy hops. Overall too sweet for my tastes. If it was a little less sweet it would be a solid offering in my opinion.

On draught at the Jolly Roger brewery/taproom grill in suburban Seattle, WA. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a creamy white head that slowly dissipates with good retention and some nice lacing. Aroma of crystal golden grain malt, some citrus zest and flowery hops wit a touch of butter. Taste is light bodied with some carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, citrus zest, some sweet pears and a touch of lemon. Finish is semi-sweet with a golden grain malt aftertaste. An excellent summer pils.
