Tap at Ivar’s, Pier 54, Seattle

Pours gold with nice lacing. Aroma is sweet honey. Flavor is malt and hops, with a hint of sweetness in the finish. Palate is nice. Nice, light, and good for when you have 5 minutes to catch the 7:20 ferry to Bainbridge Island.

On tap at Atlas in Seattle

Pours a medium yellow with a small head.

Aroma is sweet malt, a hint of grassy Saaz hops, and an ample dose of grain. Taste is relatively strong on the warm malt (i.e., malty sweet) and relatively short on the hops and carrying with it some hints of grain.. The mouthfeel was overcarbonated to the point of being too prickly. Not bad, certainly no seriously foul tastes in there anywhere - but nothing special either and lacking the hop-heavy crispness of my favorite pilseners.

Bottle: Vibrant straw, clear, huge white foamy head, wonderful lacing, little or no carbonation.   Aroma of oats, cereal, and very slight waxed cardboard.   Sweet malt flavor, no cardboard as suggested by the nose, a bit grainy however, but remains fairly clean.   Body and mouthfeel are quite full for the style, smooth and velvety.   Slightly grassy finish, remaining fairly sweet.   Not too shabby, a bit heavier and sweeter than most.

Slight earthy hops in the aroma. Fairly flat pour for a pilsener. Sunshine gold in color. Soft, medium mouthfeel. Very bready flavor, rich in malt with a hoppy kick. Not a bad brew at all. Thanks to Skyhand for the sample.

Clear straw body with a small white head. Doughy and noble grassy hop aroma. The flavor is bready up front then a good bit of the old noble hop kick. Medium-light body. Lightly crisp finish, could be crisper.
