Aug 6, 2007 Golden colour. Rich saaz nose, with hints of pale malts. The flavour is thin on the malts, but yet they impact the mouthfeel a bit anyway. Hop bitterness is moderate. It lacks the voluptuous tang of the best Czechs but its a solid, refreshing American example.

Jul 26, 2004 (draft) Sparkling straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, dough, caramel, light grassy. Taste is moderately sweet, dough/cereal, light grassy, caramel. Light-medium body, some crispness.

Jun 24, 2004 Tap@The Jolly Roger. Grainy and thin, some saaz, but this was pretty typical of microbrewed lagers in the NW, pretty tame, and not much happening. Maybe i missed something as others have rated it much higher, but i didn’t see much in this one.

Nov 6, 2007 on tap-pours a retaining white head that laces and yellow color. Aroma is grain-some sweet. Taste is grain-some sweet, light/grassy/lemon hops, crisp. OK carbonation.

Sep 23, 2008 Draught @ Jolly Roger Taproom, Seattle. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Has a malty grainy and grassy aroma with some hoppy hints. Malty grainy grassy hoppy flavor. Has a long malty hoppy bitter finish.

Dec 26, 2004 on tap at the jolly roger. someone should tell some american brewers that pilsners don’t have to be bland. pretty anonymous malt character, just some cardboard flavour and plain flour. egad
