| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 20, 2006 Cask... Pitch black ale with a fluffy, lightly tanned head. Excellent retention. Chocolaty, coffee nose that’s just a touch lactic. The flavor leans barely toward the bitter side of balance; much like drinking dark, unsweetened chocolate. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes chocolaty and moderately bitter.
