Commercial Description:
This brew is known as "India Pale Ale". During the British colonial period, this beer was brewed for troops stationed in India. The hard water, high alcohol and high hopping rate preserved the ale during its ocean voyage. The liberal addition of hops also imparted a strong bitterness and herbal finish to the beer. India Pale Ales are brewed today for these flavor characteristics. This is a sipping beer best enjoyed at cellar temparatures of 50-55 degrees.

On tap. I was actually really impressed by this. Very pleasant aroma, full mouth feel and a nice hop finish. I found it hoppy, but not necessarily bitter. Had hints of grapefruit and overall had an oily/fruity taste. Very enjoyable brew.

Reddish/brown hue with no head or lace. Typical IPA nose of pine, grapefruit, roasted malt. Slightly nutty undertone. Very piney taste with some malt roundness, but not enough IMO, bitter finish. Thin to medium-bodied, oily and lively mouthfeel. Astringent feel. For hop-heads! Who stuck a pine cone down my throat?
