jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Apr 3, 2004 Strong red highlights to an amber body with a small white head. Aroma purely of malt in this. Light to Medium-bodied; Slighly hoppy flavour with malt prevalent. Aftertaste shows some wierd spiceyness and a decently filling malt taste. Overall, not bad but not a great beer at all. I had this on draught at the Flying Saucer in Nashville, Tennessee. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Mar 18, 2002 An awfully dark brown for an Irish Red Ale. Nice scent, very musty and mossy. Flavor is smoky and nutty, with hints of roasted malts and sweetness. Palate is a bit creamy (but not enough), and is too fizzy in the carbonation.
