(6/17/08) Draught at Zum Nussbaum in Berlin. Black with a medium light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee notes. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, some coffee, a bit of caramel, and some light roasty dryness. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Draft in Berlin: pours a dark brown with a thin frothy head, some malt aroma and more or less that is about all it had for flavor, thin mouthfeel as well. Not very good.

<i>Draught at Alt-Berliner Weissbierstube, Berlin</i>. Dark reddish brown, medium beige head. Burnt sugar and earthy hops. Softmouthfeel, dry with moderate bitterness.

(Draught at "Alt-Berliner Weissbierstube", Berlin)<br />On June 6, 2008<br />On the German menu called "Märkischer Landmann Schwartz" but on the English menu called "Schwartzer Steiger dark beer".<br />Clear dark brown color, fluffy tan head. Roasted and maltys weet scent. Spicy and malty taste. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

0,5l bottle. Pours very dark black with practically no foam at all. I didn’t catch any aroma either. The flavor is a bit strange but not at all bad. I drinked it up with ease but will never buy it again.
