Commercial Description:
This London Porter is brewed in Greenwich, using no fewer than seven malts to recreate a historic recipe from the 1750s for a style of beer that was once synonymous with London.

Bottle, no extra point guessing from where. Very dark red, lovely raosted aroma. Soot, toasted grain, a pleasant sourness. Easy drinking without letting go of flavour and aroma. Send some bottles to St James’ Gate!

50cl bottle from M&S. Deep copper brown with a rapidly dissipating beige head; rich coffee aroma; dry in the mouth with richly roasted malts with some sweet milk chocolate flavours; satisfyingly warming smoky and nutty finish, despite the relatively low ABV. Excellent.

0,5 l bottle from M&S. Dark brown in colour, almost black. Smallish beige head. Impression of coffee and chocolate from the aroma. Coffee, chocolate and some smoke in the flavour. A good basic porter, although a bit watery, at least compared with the best ones I’ve had chance to taste.

0.5L bottle from Marks & Sparks. Pours quite black with a small head. Powerful coffee aroma. Well crafted porter body with coffee, toffee and smoke in good proportions. And yet, it still lacks the wow-factor to make it an utterly great beer.

Botlle, 500ml from M&S. I believe this one is different from the 6.5% Meantime London Porter. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts. A bit watery and light but well drinkable.
