Doppelganger (1261), Oxford, Oxfordshire, England Dec 30, 2008 Bottle, thanks to imdownthepub. Bright gold, lots of dense sticky ivory colored head. Bright garden mint aroma with a little cold grapefruit. Clean nettle/mint electric bitterness with a bit of citrus edge. Very delicate body, clean and appealing. An all around lovely beer, and a fun surprise to get a modest strength British beer in a bottle that has all the goodness you’d expect from a cask version. Thanks Glen! PJClarke (74), London, Surrey, England Oct 27, 2008 Bottle: Crisp clean golden appearance with a pure white foam. Intensely hoppy and sweet aroma and amazing hoppy bite in the mouth, very refreshing. Perfectly bubbly with a slick mouthfeel. Lingering hops are wonderful. Impressive, everything an IPA should be. johndoughty (1727), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Oct 18, 2008 Bottle. This one really impressed me. Golden and very clear appearance make a good start. After that it gets even better. Live hoppy flavours dominate with some gentle citrus tones floating around.Add a a bit of spice and it turns out to be an excellent beer. It is also perfectly bottled.Pity a lot of brewers who produce bottle conditioned ales don’t bottle as good as this one.Highly recommended. harrisoni (5605), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 16, 2008 Angry fist of Santa tasting at Chris o’s.
