Bottle, 660ml. An dark amber-coloured pour with a small diminishing head. Faint aromas of malt and fruit. A light bitter taste with a hint of hops and not much else. Quite thin and watery with average carbonation. A light bitter finish with a little caramel and acidity. Below average.

Clear amber, moderate head. Soft malt aromas with a little fruity yeast character. Toffee malt flavour predominates, some light fruity notes, and a mildly bitter finish. Decent enough.

Bottle (BBE May 06). Lots of caramel aromas and Marstons yeast, whilst that wouldnt exactly be to me taste the heavey pasteurised flavours drag this down.

Mid amber with a very small white head. Aroma of toasted malt. The taste had caramel with a good bitter finish. I like 660ml bottles. There should be more of them. Despite the carbonation, this was much more agreeable than the cask version. Perhaps that wasn’t at its best.

Bottle. Creamy good mostly deminishing head. Fantasctic redbrown colour. Very clear. Heavy malty and yeasty aroma. A bit watery flavour and palate.

An amber beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is malty with light notes of nuts, while the flavor is sweet fruity, and again with light notes of nuts. A very average beer.
