Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 17, 2004 [Cask at Charlie's Bar, Copenhagen] An amber beer with a fine beige head. The aroma is nicely hoppy and fruity with notes of yeast. The flavor is weird - it seem that it hasn't finished fermenting. I don't like it. MiP (6732), Flensburg, Germany Apr 16, 2007 Cask. Beautiful clear dark copper colour. Green apple flavour, a bit rough, but OK. I do not care much for the apple notes, but it seems to be more rounded than other bitters. Finishes nutty. Very standard bitter with no flaws. But boring, IMO. argo0 (6334), Washington DC, USA Aug 25, 2005 (Cask at Lord Moon of the Mall (JDW), London) Clear copper body with off-white head. Aroma is faint, floral/orange, caramel, light spice. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, some floral, faint earthy, minimal bitterness. Watery light body with minimal carbonation. harrisoni (5605), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 8, 2005 Cask at County Hotel, Ashford, Kent
Slightly creamy which was odd, but otherwise had all the hallmarks fo a burton bitter. Sulphur, yeast and some caramel malt and a bit of spicy hop. Bit thin though duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Dec 19, 2004 Cask@JDWetherspoons, Brighton. This tasted exactly the same as the Titanic Silver Spoon, perhaps this had a little more going for it, but it was still quite watery and stale. Pretty bad.
