Commercial Description:
Available filtered and pasteurised in 500ml clear glass bottles @ 5.0%. Occasionally available in cask. Has been brewd at 4.6%
The aptly named, "Double Drop", is brewed using just one type of English Barley - Maris Otter - which was harvested from Fuggle Farm in Norfolk. Uniquely, double dropping brings out the full flavour of this one melt, often described as "the king of brewing barley". The double dropping technique allows only the most vigorous yeast to survive and results in a cleaner fermentation process and a fresher, brighter beer. Double dropping involves "dropping" the beer during fermentation from one vessel to another, normally after 24 hours.

Just excellent, unexpectedly tops almost everything I’ve tasted. Hard to explain what is so special in this beer - but it is truly majestic !

Not the greatest ale, but perfectly drinkable, if a tad bland.

Copper coloured lightly sparkling ale. Slightly woody, dry aroma. Dry hoppy taste. It’s quite fresh, clean and easy to drink with a full flavour of hop and malt.

Mid gold, coarse carbonation, with a thin, tight white head. Big hoppy aroma with hints of spice, fruit and pepper. Nice hoppy flavour, but with a nice full malty body.

Smooth, biscuity shortbread malt with slightly coarse hop and alcohol finish. Decent twist on a pale ale.

[Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen] A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is slighlty fruity and sweet. The flavor is sweet and rather hoppy combined with notes of fruits, like a mixed fruit bowl. The end is dry and rather bitter.

A fine beer. The aroma is quite prominent on the pur as is the head which stayed firm throughout. The MO barley seems to add some good body to the beer and the malt hop balance was well achieved. Good fruiy nose and subtle taste of peach and apple.
