Clear light amber color, small off-white head. Caramelly sweet aroma with notes of leather. Hoppy bitter with underlying fruity notes. Bitter aftertaste. Very Marstons-like but quite good session bitter.

Jul 9, 2006 Bottle. Bitter with an orange hue, no head, has the typical marston yeast characteristics. Slightly sharp with a farily balanced ratio of malt to hop, but a tad boring.

Oct 24, 2005 Cask (handpulled) at the Babington Arms Derby. Thin washy body, thin taste - "so smooth you will hardly notice it slipping down". So says the commercial description, and theyre spot on. Underwhelming yet inoffensive.

May 12, 2005 (cask) Pours light gold with a small white head. Fruity slightly sulphuric aroma. Flavour is dominated by fruity malts and finishes with a medium bitterness. Slight metallic tinge there though. Thin in body. Aimed at the lager crowd I think.
