Amber with a small head. Caramel scent. Very smooth and silky. Slightly carbonated. Sugary and dry but quite hoppy.

Cask@Cayo Arms, Cardiff. Clear light amber color, small off-white head. Caramelly sweet aroma with notes of leather. Hoppy bitter with underlying fruity notes. Bitter aftertaste. Very Marstons-like but quite good session bitter.

Bottle. Bitter with an orange hue, no head, has the typical marston yeast characteristics. Slightly sharp with a farily balanced ratio of malt to hop, but a tad boring.

Cask condtioned @ Duke of Wellington, Soton. Light copper. Light bodied with a few citric hops and little of the usual marstons character.

Cask (handpulled) at the Babington Arms Derby. Thin washy body, thin taste - "so smooth you will hardly notice it slipping down". So says the commercial description, and theyre spot on. Underwhelming yet inoffensive.

(cask) Pours light gold with a small white head. Fruity slightly sulphuric aroma. Flavour is dominated by fruity malts and finishes with a medium bitterness. Slight metallic tinge there though. Thin in body. Aimed at the lager crowd I think.
