| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 10, 2003 I really didn't think I'd like this. Thing is, I really don't like Vanilla, especially the smell. Which is why I rate the aroma less than it really deserves. But, try anything once, is my motto when it comes to beer so I gave it a try. Firestoker is quite an apt name, as it certainly is a warming beer. The vanilla is strong enough to stand out, without being offensive, perhaps set off by the slight cherry hint. The only criticism I have of this (bottled) brew is the gassiness - a little too gassy. Still it's a remarkablr beer and firmly on my favourites list Catharsis (9), North London, England does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 18, 2004 Bottled. I'm a big fan of beers that add some more unusual flavours into the brew, and vanilla is certainly not one I've come accross before! From the moment the bottle was opened, the presence of vanilla was quite distinct, although it was complemented by a definate woodey aroma. As for the taste, I found it sweeter than most beers, aided by a strong hint of caramel. Overall, I perhaps wouldn't want to be drinking this everyday, but as something different, it's a winner. johndoughty (2168), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 9, 2003 As soon as you start drinking this you realise it could only come from Marstons. Their unique tanginess
hits you with the first mouthfull. This is followed by vanilla and a slight oak feel. A truely individual beer in a world awash with blandness. Congtatulations to the head brewer at Marstons-this is a winner. RobBestwick (555), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Borostyánszínű, enyhén opálos, tölgyfahordóban érlelt, 5% alkoholtartalmú ale a Burton upon Trent-i Marston’s Brewery-ből. A sörészet egyik (kisebb) csodája.
