Bottled under the Marks and Spencer label.Pale appearance with a lingering hoppiness.Gently balanced sweetness and bitterness make for an excellent IPA.Recommended especially as I dont usually buy supermarkets own brands.Glad I tried this one.

500ml bottle of Marks & Spencer India Pale Ale. Gold with a loose cream head; fresh citrus and hop aroma; smooth with a full fresh citrus flavour and some honey sweetness; then a powerful bitter punch leading to a long warming citrus finish. Very drinkable and moreish.

I thought this beer was really good, so I went and bought it again, and it wasn’t as good as I remember. Sort of a pale imitation of Samuel Smiths’ India Ale.

Sampled as M&S IPA - pretty good this one. Hoppy, fresh and citrusy. Very quaffable. Slips down well for a 5.5 per center!

Sept 2000 - Can really smell the hops when you crack the cap.. Nice hoppy ale. Kinda pricey though at about $3 for 500mL
