A reasonable beer. Has a good nose full of refreshing hoppy aromas. Pours with vitually no head. The taste dissapointing, it is watery slightly soapy and has a metallic after taste. Certainly not Marstons best work.

pleasant and fresh hoppy aroma, no head or lacing, light copper hue, thin body, bits of hop in the taste but quite weak, below average offering

Gold amber clear under a small short lasting pale yellow head. Why they put these beers in clear bottles is beyond me. Faintly skunky hoppy aroma - nothing extra when it warms. Medium thin low carb typical Brit Pub ale body and palate. Medium bitter hops with hint of acrid burnt popcorn malt and road tar flavours. Nothing special.

Quite good, but nothing distinctive, tastes like most English bitter, slight bread burnt malts, resiny hops, bittersweet, kind of syrrupy, bitter hop finish, pretty nice.

Burnt amber without head. Hoppy aroma (duh), Lots of flavour which is not complex but is immediately, nicely bitter. This one works because it has a strong simple "beer" taste.

Quite a degree of floral hops, especially in the aroma. Not a trace of hops bitterness, though. Not bad, though.

Bottled. For a product shouting out its hoppyness there is a remarkable lack of hops. Malt dominates the nose, some hope bitterness comes through in the mouth and the finish is spoilt by a sharp prickle of overcarbonation.
