This beer is the colour of barley sugars! The initial taste was good. Bitter, with a little sweetness. I drank it out of my Klosterbrau Bamberg glass. I could only drink a little of it, as it is too strong to drink much of. Besides, I wanted a Duvel. I had it in the same glass and it was delicious. joe19612 (702), camberley, Surrey, England

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Bottle (500ml). Poured a bright amber with orange highlights and a small frothy white head which didn’t last that well. Aroma was malty, with hops, caramel, some biscuity notes and light marmalade in the back. Taste was decently hoppy, with a pine like bitterness, some orange peel, citrus, and light caramel in the back. Body was medium with soft carbonation and a good finish.
