Beautiful, bright, copper-gold. Quite pale but vibrant, with lovely pillowy white head that, unfotunately, doesn’t hold or lace. Very grassy nose, some pepper and a hint of boiled sugar. Grassy hops, again, dominate the mouth also. Little malt profile in the skinny, lightish side of ligh-medium, mouth weight. Low-medium carbonation. Some spiciness through the middle and a short bitter finish. This ale was the last of the tasting (a very nice group of NZ micro pale ales) and it didn’t stand up to the competition. The nose is clean, with a strong, hoppy nose with hints of malt. The taste bitter with strong, hop and malt tones. Has a smooth finish. (Bottle). Nekronos (2264), Xalapa, Mexico
