Pale golden. Fruity nose with a hint of sulphur. Sugary with some boiled peas. The mouthfeel is raw and fairly mellow. Reminding of a Sirvenos, a Lithuanian beer brewed partly from peas. There’s some stale hops in the finish. Although it shows no signs of being out of shape, I must say that this is one of the cask ales I’ve enjoyed the least. fonefan (11822), VestJylland, Denmark

Wetherspoon - Shakespear’s Head, London, 6-4-8-4-16=38 Amber color; medium-thin creamy head, persistent. Mild aroma of caramel and hops. Good body strength, with sweet caramel flavor; the hopping is a bit fruity, in the end there is some flavor of macadamia nuts, lightly buttery. The final is pleasant, with nice hops (between a 4 and a 5). Well balanced. Very good.
2003-11-29, cask conditioned, 1st pint of the barrel, 6-4-8-5-15=38 Hazy orange color. The aroma, malty, is still light, but the flavor is very interesting, sweet, bitter and fruity, much more harmonious than the American IPAs. Long strong final.
