A red beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and alcohol. The flavor is strong of roasted malt.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, dark, reddish brown with a light brown head. Aroma of sweetish, roasted malt and caramel. Fairly full and solid body with plenty of roasted malt and caramel notes. Not much bitterness to be detected. Not exactly refined but a fine winter warmer. 071006

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber to brown with a small tan head. Mild spiced and hard roasted malty aroma. Smooth roasted flavoured towards a dark fruity note and light chocolate. Nice dark mix of flavours. Ends dark breadish and fruity into the far finish.

Bottled at Old Bank, Turku. Clear deep ruby, small head. Aroma of burnt caramel and alcohol. Swetwith medium body. Dense, rounded mouthfeel with sticky sweetness. There’s toffee and spun sugar but very little hops. Very mild but warming. The best Marston beer I’ve come across.

Bottle. Dark red brown colour. Creamy white good lasting head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel with a hint of oak wood. A sweet caramel, roasted malty and slightly bitter (specially in the finish) flavour.

Bottle, 7.6%. Peppery and creamy aroma. Very dark brown colour, clear and with a chestnut shine. Good sweet flavour, quite peppery, quite malty. Very nice and actually well-balanced in spite of the strength.

Dark color. Caramel nose; sweet liquorice taste, malty. Easy, not complex, but pleasant to drink.

Cask at Charlie’s Pub, Copenhagen, 2005-12-03, 5-3-6-3-12=29
Dark color with ruby hue. Too light aroma. Malty taste but simple.
