Bottle. A nice malty sweet smell, some hops and liquor, very drinkable. The small fizzy white head disappears fast and fully, the body is red. The taste is bitter and malty, the finish is long and mild, light medical. The body is light and bitter with a soft carbonation. A very nice beer.

There is a definate presence of malt but it takes a few sips before you get past the initial skunk factor shock of the last minute hops. A really nice golden brown, it looks better than it tastes imo. It tastes just the same as the smell, there is an instant shock of skunky hops and alcohal and then a bit of nasty aftertaste that reminds me of people talking very excitedly with beer breath when I was a kid and beer smelled gross. Nought impressive!

Bottle. Pours amber with white creamy head. Aromas are quite floral and a little sweet. Flavours are like wise very sweet with plenty of malt and some hops. Finish is quite resiny. Carbonation is good. Nice drinkable ale.

50cl bottle, local store. Nice clear yellow/orange color with a thick head. Sweet aroma, caramel and hops flavor. Didn’t really enjoy this beer, taste somehow off. Should do a retake

On tap at Twisted Kilt in Toronto. Pours a hazy orange/brown with large, creamy, slightly off-white head. Mild fruity nose. Flavour is sweet and fruity with hints of caramel and raisin. Very creamy mouthfeel, bit of a bitter finish. Not bad.

50cl bottle, as shown. Clean amber colour, small white head. Aroma of fruit, aniseed and caramel. Appealing. Taste, however, is very disappointing. Faint malts, mild bitterness. a wee touch of fruit - not much of anything, really. I remember this to be more characterful from the cask, so maybe it’s just the bottled version. Weak finish, too. Will work with spicy food, but otherwise, just plain dull. Clearly, this is not "the beer of Britain".
