ivan9856 (123), Arlington, Virginia, USA Dec 2, 2005 The 500 ml bottle pours clear amber with a large smooth tan head. The beer left some lacing. Aromas of light roasted malt, straw and floral hops are found in the nose. There is little sweetness upfront, and this beer is fairly dry from start to finish. Mid-palate is unremarkable. I really wanted to identify the advertised oak cask flavor, but couldn’t really find it--only hints of toffee or butterscotch. This is a light-bodied ale, fresh tasting with a quick clean finish and a restrained hop bite.
