leaparsons (3798), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Apr 27, 2008 Cask, The Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, Oadby. Amber with a dense cream head. Aromas are sweet toffee with spiced oranges. Hints of sulphur and some woodiness. Flavours are sweet toffee and caramel with spices and sulphur. Soft, sweet spiced oranges with alcohol. Like "Peddy" but with more spices and alcohol.
bobinlondon (207), Harrow, Greater London, England Jul 9, 2008 Handpulled cask at JDW Watford. A beefed up version of an old favourite. Interesting but not as good as the origional! Mes_and_Sim (3927), London, Greater London, England Apr 22, 2008 A Mes rate: Cask at Baker St ’Sporks. Hazy orange amber with a thin white head and lots of lace. Metallic hop aroma with some slight earthy malt. Flavour is thick and sweet with some lingering alcohol at the back of the palate. Lots of sweet fruity notes. Fairly sickly malt. Not bad but not that great either. berkshire_john (958), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Apr 10, 2008 Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Amber with a ring of white head; tropical fruit flavours, lychee and pineapple, but not over sweet, slightly harsh alcoholic edge; leaves a smooth and sweet aftertaste with some underlying bitterness. SilkTork (3793), Rochester, Kent, England Apr 8, 2008 JDW - Rodboro Buildings, Guildford. A smoother and stronger Pedigree - good hop and malt merge - but this doesn’t stand out.
