Golden colour, huge, persistent head. The aroma is slighlty hoppy and nothing more. The flavour is malty, quite watery and the finish isn't enough hoppy for a decent English Pale ale. Very weak beer.

Bottle, 25th Dec 08. Bright amber with a short lived white head. Golden Promise aroma and flavour but little depth or complexity. What I’ve come to expect from Marstons.

Bottle. I liked the aroma quite much but the taste wasn’t what I expected. There’s not much flavour at all. Disappointment.

Appearance: Golden, nice amount of head. Aroma: Hops and flowers. Bit of fruit. Taste: Pretty hoppy, bitter. Bitter aftertaste, dries out your mouth. Info: 500ml bottle, 28/2-2007, 152/500
